Open The Gate at Jazz Cafe Featuring Live on stage MACKA B & Roots Ragga Band
Hackney-based cultural organization Open The Gate proudly hosts its first ever night in the renowned award-winning Live Music venue The Jazz Cafe in Camden and will be bringing a high quality line up of Reggae music featuring Live on stage the legendary Reggae artist, performer and activist MACKA B and his band Roots Ragga Band, and, as opening act the young talents of In Search Of an emerging Rock & Reggae band discovered by BBC Introducing 2012.
Nigerian award-winning Reggae artist Afrikan Simba will host the show on stage. Afrikan Simba has worked with top sound systems such as Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti and Channel One and is one of the leading MCs on the London Reggae scene. When he takes up the mic, a flow of conscious, spiritual and uplifting lyrics are guaranteed. He’ll also be performing tracks from his new album “Ethiopia”.
Open The Gate Sound will be warming up on the decks with guests DJ and MCs passing through.
