Emancipation Summer Ball
The Emancipation Summer Ball on Saturday 30th July 2016 at the Leyton Great Hall in East London.
The event is aimed at celebrating and raising awareness of the Caribbean Emancipation story. Our aim is to ensure that this important period of our history is not forgotten and that the next generation understand the strength, resilience and sacrifices of our forefathers.
The event will raise money for the Jamaica National Education Trust. This will be used to provide book grants for students in Jamaica in need of financial support.
Tickets are priced at £60.00 per person. You will enjoy a Cocktail Drinks Reception with fruit juices and rum punch provided by our sponsor Wray & Nephew. Port Royal Patties will be providing the canapes. This will be followed by a sumptuous 3 Course Meal.
You will be entertained by the “Duchess of Comedy” Glenda Jaxson and be treated to a variety of musical performances and poetry. The much loved Jamaican radio personality, Patricia Eves McKenzie will be your MC for the night. There will also be fantastic giveaways on the night!
