Youth Skills Network UK – This summer, following the huge success of the first show, MINI MOGUL returns to challenge a new group of aspiring young entrepreneurs. This TV style show gives young entrepreneurs aged 16- 25 the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to our panel of judges as well as a LIVE audience in the hope of winning a cash investment to make their ideas into a reality!
A group of Young People trained by Hackney based organisation Youth Skills Network (YSN), plan to change the way we watch TV forever. Fed up of watching scheduled programmes containing stereotype upon stereotype, these young producers decided to take matters into their own hands by creating their very own programs to show just how creative, positive and ambitious young people really are.
For those of you who don’t already know, Youth Skills Network (YSN) is a non-profit organisation which was established in 2003 and is designed to give young people a chance to improve attainment levels and employment prospects within the media industry.
The production aptly entitled Mini Mogul! is a TV style show which gives young entrepreneurs aged 16-25 the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of specialist judges as well as a LIVE audience in the hope of winning a prize fund worth over £10k! This takes place on 21st August 2010 and will be FILMED for broadcast plus feature in a brand new mini drama series which members of the audience will have a starring role in, so dress ready for ACTION!
Andy Fraser, the manger of the Mini Mogul event and founder of YSN explained:
“The feedback from our last event was fantastic and this year we had to top it! We have launched a dedicated Mini Mogul website and added elements, such as the Business Boot Camp and of course the reality drama series which the audience can have an opportunity to star in. Our young production team have been working really hard over the last few months putting it all together. They have been out on the streets with cameras & flyers in hand to spread the word. Applications are flooding in and there are some really great ideas in the mix. We want everyone to come along and support these bold young Moguls in the Making!”
