About British and Caribbean Veterans Association

British and Caribbean Veterans Association is a charity for ex- members of British and Caribbean forces. in addition, any person over the age of 18 years,deemed to be of good character, and was not a member of the forces, may join as an associate member. Our membership consists of people from most of the Caribbean islands.

The British and Caribbean Veterans Association is the new name for the West Midlands Branch (since jan2011) of the West Indian Ex-servicemen and Women Association, a charity formed (in Birmingham) in 1995. The Association is formed to Promote comradeship and ‘esprit de corps’ among British and Caribbean ex-servicemen and women regardless of where they reside.

The policy of the Association is non-sectarian and non-political. Ordinary membership of the Association is open to anyone who has served at least three months with the colours in the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, British Army or any of the Auxiliary forces of the British commonwealth Nations.

Associate membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age, deemed to be of good character, and willing to abide by the rules of the association. Please go to our membership section for details.

Our presentation team is available to go into schools, colleges, clubs and other organisations to give presentations on the West Indian contribution to British Armed Forces over the past 200 years, going back to the British West India Regiment.

Meetings are held approximately every 6 weeks at the F & C Social Club, 178/179 Soho Hill, Hockley, Birmingham , B19 1AG
