1. Hip Strip in Montego Bay
Hit the Hip Strip and find an array of restaurants to suits all tastes and tropical nightlife to keep you partying on into the night. When you get hungry check out the famous local Jerk at Scotchie’s, or the Pork Pit.
2. Doctor’s Cave Beach
This stretch of beach with white sand and crystal clear water is the ideal place to enjoy the sun and sea. Doctors Cave beach is within the Montego Bay Marine Park so is excellent for snorkelling and swimming.
3. Snorkeling
Explore the underwater world at Montego Bay regarded as some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean or you can stay dry and view the sea life from a glass-bottomed boat, don’t forget your camera!

You will find a number of tour operators offering rafting trips from Montego Bay, taking you to the canyon rivers and through the rainforest.
4. Rose Hall
Just 20 minutes from Montego Bay, eighteenth-century Rose Hall Estate is the perfect place to spend the day exploring the ruins, and taking a tour of the mansion. Rose Hall is named after one of Jamaica’s most famous legends, Annie Palmer who was called the “White Witch of Rose Hall. ” It is rumored that her spirit haunts the estate. The spectacular venue and grounds at Rose Hall Great House are available for weddings private events.

6. Croydon Plantation
Experience a working Jamaican plantation in the foothills of the Catadupa Mountains. Sample the tropical fruits in season and enjoy a delicious Jamaican buffet surrounded by the lush Croydon is the birthplace of National Hero Sam Sharpe, the infamous slave leader behind the Jamaican Baptist War slave rebellion.

7. Go Shopping!
For shopaholics there is a wide choice of goods on sale from local Jamaican art and mementos to duty free clothes and jewelry. The well known Gallery of West Indian Art on Fairfield Road sells work from local artists and Harbour Street Craft Market is great place to get bargaining.
8. Rocklands Bird Sanctuary
Spend the day with the many varieties of birds native to Jamaica and get up close and personal at the Rockland Feeding Station. Nature lovers will be able to see Jamaica’s famous vervian hummingbird and a wide variety of wildlife. Take a tour and enjoy the stunning natural scenery of Rocklands Bird Sanctuary
9. Reggae Sumfest
If you are travelling to Jamaica in July make sure you book your tickets for this legendary reggae event. World-renowned performers take to the stage for a series of parties and gigs in Montego Bay at Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest, the reggae event of the summer.

– Take a cultural Maroon Tour and into the hills of St Elizabeth and learn about the history of the Maroons defeat of the British.
