The 2014 edition of the annual Canadian Women’s Club of Trinidad and Tobago (CWC) Fete unleashed a mix of local culinary delights and cultural talents for an amazing evening of enjoyment with the purpose of raising funds for several charities and worthy causes in T&T.
The Maraval residence of the Canadian High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago was the venue where an eclectic fusion of Trinbagonians, Canadians and other locally based foreigners congregated to enjoy an evening of food, fun and festivity.
The all-inclusive CWC fete offered a range of local food selections such as Pellau, Geera Pork, Doubles and Corn Soup with a fully stocked bar boasting a variety of premium drinks and spirits as well as exotic cocktails.
Music was in high supply at this event, as some of the islands’ top entertainers came out in ripping form to keep the audience moving. Along with beloved fete staples such as Steelpan from the St. James Tripolians, The Laventille Rhythm Section and the Humming Bird Tassa Group, patrons enjoyed performances by Veteran Calypso Queen Denyse Plummer, Chutney-Soca songstress Drupatee, Michelle Xavier, young Soca heartthrobs K Rich, Mr. Renzo and Syo as well as Japanese International Soca Monarch finalist Ann G.
With memorable performances, a first rate ambience, top class food and beverages offerings and a warm, friendly crowd, it can be presumed that this particular fete will be on several feters’ agenda for Carnival 2015.

Based in Port-Of-Spain, the CWC has been in existence for the past 70 years.
Its origin dates back to times of war whereby the wives of Canadian servicemen based in Chaguaramas came together with the common goal of giving back and promoting a spirit of support and contribution in our local society.
