Ken Yahw McCalla Exhibition 2011 at the The Royal Commonwealth Society
An exhibition of original prints, acrylic paintings & sculptures, spanning the last decade from the artist Ken Yahw McCalla Showing 27th June – 14th July 2011 Monday – Friday 10 am – 6 pm At The Royal Commonwealth Society In The Commonwealth Club 25 Northumberland Avenue London WC2N 5AP ‘Searching’ is a collection of art which illustrate Ken’s search for a cultural identity. From England to Jamaica to Africa the art reflects influences & traditions centuries old.
Since completing a B.A. Fine Arts degree in 1984 at the Central School of Art & Design, Ken has produced art works in a wide range of mediums, from theatre set designs to potato printing! Whichever tool he is using, Ken’s skill in visual communication has opened and excited his audience. Drawing on his rich cultural heritage, his art explores personal growth, questions relationships and celebrates harmony.
