About Rico Rodriguez
Emmanuel “Rico” Rodriguez MBE, also known as Rico, Reco or El Reco, was a Cuban-born Jamaican ska and reggae trombonist.
Playing with Jazz, Ska and reggae greats since the 1950’s Rico was the trombonist in ska band The Specials, and later a member of the Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra for just under 20 years.
